Is Your Business Planning A Fourth Of July Celebration For Your Employees And Their Families?

Does your company traditionally plan a huge family event to celebrate the Fourth of July each year? Perhaps this is one way that you build unity among your workers. If you are in charge of planning a great part of the celebration, from planning the food to selecting family games, here are some ideas that might help you.

Focus On The Food 

Part of the fun of having a party is enjoying plenty of good food. Since you will be celebrating the independence of the USA, how about providing American foods? For example, you could have hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings. Another idea would be to have a Texas-style barbecue. After all, the Lone Star state is part of the USA. Serve potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw as your sides.

Whether you have hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, or anything else, think of serving huge slices of watermelon along with your meal. While it might be too big a job to slice many pieces of apple pie, you could order commercially prepared individual pies to have as your dessert. Another good idea is to have snow cones. Focus on ordering red, white, and blue syrups in keeping with the colors of the American flag. 

Focus On The Fun 

How about turning your corporate party into an old-fashioned style event? Plan things like three-legged races, potato races, and a tug of war between departments that make up your corporation. For those who aren't up to strenuous sports, you could set up board games and puzzles. 

Another idea is to have a quilt, or several quilts, set up that people can work on during the party. Select red, white, and blue fabrics to make the quilts, just to add to the American feeling you are establishing. Later on, the quilts could be given to a charity in your community.

Of course, you will want to end with a glorious firework display. Consider hiring professionals to put on an amazing fireworks show. Add to the fun by giving everybody sparklers that they can hold themselves at the end of the firework display. Obviously, you'll want to make it a safe part of your corporate party, so have plenty of adult supervision for little kids who will be using the sparklers.

At a designated time, be sure to thank all of your employees for the dedication they show at work. And, congratulate them on the great families they brought to your annual Fourth of July celebration.
